100% Natural vs Essential Oil Infused
We offer different "tiers" of refills; only one tier is 100% all-natural. You can filter these categories in the shop menu at the top of the All Scents screen.
1. 100% Natural- As the name suggests, this category is 100% all-natural. They may contain natural isolates which are natural ingredients distilled from natural material. We call out the all-natural with a 100% natural icon in the product image and will always state 100% Natural in the product name. They are 100% plant-based.
2. Essential Oil Infused- Products in this category all contain at least 2 natural essential oils. Natural content ranges between 20% and 80% in the essential oil-based category. This is still significantly more natural content than store-bought refills that only need .1% to claim "contains natural essential oils" Essential Oil-Infused scents are based on combinations of essential oils (e.g spearmint eucalyptus, rosemary mint, etc).
3. ScentDiffuse™- Bonds with and neutralizes malodor molecules, rendering them permanently undetectable. Eliminates virtually 100% of malodor permanently. The ScentDiffuse™ refills do contain synthetic ingredients although the fragrance is minimal and subtle.
The toxic ingredient in some brands of air fresheners is called phthalates. All of our products are phthalate-free and non-toxic when used appropriately (not ingested or for topical use). Scent Fill® adheres to the stringent California Proposition 65 standards, also called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. Enacted in 1986, this Act is intended to help Californians make informed decisions about protecting themselves from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Some of our products contain proposition 65 ingredients considered exempt from a natural food source such as d-pulegone (Natural peppermint oil), myrcene (Natural Bay leaf extract), and estragole (Natural Bay leaf extract). Our Essential Oil Infused and ScentDiffuse refills do contain some synthetic compounds, but nothing toxic.
